We can tailor our stress relief workshops and training sessions to suit your company. At Chanquanshu we use a number of tools to combat stress, if you like, we give you and your staff these tools and you keep them in your ‘stress toolbox’. When you need to de-stress, you just reach into your toolbox, select the appropriate tool and use it to do the job at hand.
Unlike many stress programs, where there is much theory and little practical knowledge imparted, Chanquanshu’s program is the complete reverse. You will gain a lot of helpful, practical methods to help you cope with the daily grind of workplace stress and only the minimal amount of theory required. In our research we have talked to past participants of stress management courses and their main complaint was that it was all theory and not enough practical - only a few relaxation techniques at best.
What Tools Do We Use? 1. The Stress Relief Exercise 2. Slow and Fast T’ai Chi Sets (very short forms, quick to learn) 3. Meditation & Relaxation Techniques 4. Daoist Philosophy to change the way you relate to stressful situations
These tools can be used anywhere in the workplace even sitting at the desk or during a coffee break. Should you require our expertise on a regular basis we can conduct lunch time or coffee break de-stress sessions which can last anywhere from 10 minutes through to a full hour
Health & Safety Executive Information
Work-related stress
'The adverse reaction people have to excessive pressure or other types of demand placed on them.' - HSE
In today’s workplace, stress is proving to be a real problem. Why tackle stress in your workplace?
- Work-related stress accounts for over a third of all new incidences of ill health.
- Each case of stress-related ill health leads to an average of 30.9 working days lost.
- A total of 12.8 million working days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2004/5
To comply with the law Employers have duties:
- Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 to assess the risk of stress-related ill health arising from work activities; and
- Under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 to take measures to control that risk.
As well as reducing sickness absence costs to an organisation, tackling stress can have a positive effect on:
- Employee commitment to work;
- Staff performance and productivity;
- Staff turnover or intention to leave;
- Staff recruitment and retention;
- Customer satisfaction; and
- Organisational image and reputation.
Chanquanshu bases it’s stress relief on concrete practice. Simply knowing what stress is doesn’t give you the ability to deal with it. Our courses take a physical approach to stress management based on our experiences - you are in control. As mentioned earlier, we can design our programs to your company’s needs and train you and your staff in-house and also provide dedicated weekly or bi-weekly training sessions for you and your staff for convenience, comfort and less hassle
